It’s a full-on Doek evening this Friday in De Ruimte. We start in the small space at 21:00 with two trios put together by Doek members Eric Boeren and Michael Moore, featuring some of the most interesting young players around:
Trio 1: Eric Boeren cornet, Joachim Badenhorst clarinets, tenor sax; Daijo Riuchi guitar
Trio 2: Michael Moore alt sax, clarinet; Uldis Vitols double bass; Tristan Renfrow drums

At 23:00 it’s 2nd Stop is Jupiter where AY 69 serves up Turkish psychedelic folk and All Ellington sweeps you up into the snappy, dreamy, swinging world of Duke Ellington. Yes folks – jazz! And then – yes there’s more – Bacchanalia’s steaming cuuuuuuuuumbia.
