    Feecho – Live at the Vancouver International Jazz Festival

    Feecho, the duo of Kaja Draksler and Onno Govaert, has just released a new live album on Doek RAW, Live at the Vancouver International Jazz Festival. Last summer, a couple of Doek groups toured in Canada and performed at the Vancouver International Jazz Festival. This recording comes from that tour. This concert was recorded live at the Ironworks in Vancouver by Ron Ruiten and mixed and mastered by Daniele Martini. Artwork, once again, by Sara Anke.

  • Doek loses funding

    Doek is sorry to announce that our applications for structural four-year funding from both the Performing Arts Fund (FPK) and the Amsterdam Arts Fund (AFK) have been rejected. As things now stand this means that Doek will have no structural funding from the beginning of next year. We are currently considering our options – what is certain is that we have plenty of plans for the future, and want to continue to contribute to the development of improvised music, work with our many partners, and share our music with our audience, locally, nationally and internationally.…

    Doek Festival LIVE! presented numerous challenges for us as an organization but we are very proud that we were able to present a wide variety of fantastic live music in a responsible way. The festival was smaller, and not as many people traveled from abroad to perform or attend, but the spirit was soaring among those who were there.

  • doek festival live! final day

    Doek Festival LIVE! has been great so far. Everyone is happy to play and hear LIVE music again! Thanks to de Warme Winkel, de Brakke Grond and het Bimhuis for hosting us. Today the musicians will host you in their gardens or open work spaces. Drop in between 12 and 5 hear some music, talk about it, have a drink, share some ideas. Entrance by donation, the musicians decide what they will do and when. Please respect social distancing! Here’s the program:
