Amsterdam Real book Bicycle Tour 14:00 – €12/5
Starts Poortgebouw in Amsterdam North (where Oorsprong series takes place), with a large ensemble led by William Parker, then moves on to De Ruimte and Roze Tanker, with two more bands with such musicians as Benjamin Herman, Ernst Glerum, Arno Bakker, Anton Goudsmit and Gerri Jäger. Don’t worry about getting lost, fearless tour leader Alfredo Genovesi will be there to guide you!
Tonight in Zaal 100: the Amsterdam all-star line-up, All Ellington (21:00 – €8) . “Those moments of freedom, those interpretations larded with contemporary impro elements, made the music much more than just a performance of Ellington” according to Jazzflits. You can even dance…….
if not to Ellington, then later on to the funky tunes of DJ Morsanek.
