Doek Festival 2019

During Doek’s two festival nights on 14 and 15 June the Bimhuis will be transformed into a bustling market with stalls, performers, dancers, rabble rousers and, of course, lots of music! Friday’s market theme is City, Saturday is a Bazaar. Would you like to have a stall at the The Market? Send us a mail at with your idea. You can sell almost anything except drinks and food to go. It’s coming up to Doek Festival time of year again. This year we’re turning the Bimhuis upside down for our own production: The Market. For two glorious days the Bimhuis will be transformed into a meeting place where all sorts of exchanges take place, from goods and services to smells, flavours, cultures, sounds, glances, blushes, curses and currency.
