Doek Festival 2018 : Crowdfunding

Here at Doek we not only want to develop and present our music, we also want to pass on the considerable skills and knowledge of the Doek musicians to others. That is why we want to offer a 3-day workshop during our annual Doek Festival (14 – 17 June) where participants can work on differeent aspects of improvisation. To make a top quality workshop accessible for young talent and students we’ve started a crowdfunding campaign at Voordekunst. You can read all about it here.
All around us we see many young talented musicians who want to develop their improvised music skills. But workshop opportunities are rare. The Doek musicians are keen to share their knowledge and experience with this new generation. We want to inspire and stimulate them to develop their own musical voice. Participants will work with different Doek musicians, all of them authorities in the field of improvised music.
