Doek Festival 2015 : June 5

This evening could turn out to be one of the festival’s hidden gems. As well as brand new compositions from Eric Boeren, Kaja Draksler and Carl Testa, there’ll be improvisations – music of the moment – performed by any (or all) of the 19 musicians on stage.

For sure this will happen:
-A new composed piece by Eric Boeren will be performed by Wilbert de Joode, Carl Testa, Kaja Draksler, Mary Halvorson, Michael Vatcher, Mary Oliver, Tomeika Reid, Vincent Chancey, Nate Wooley, Taylor Ho Bynum, Eric Boeren and Michael Moore.

-Kaja Draksler’s new composed piece will be performed by Wilbert de Joode, Carl Testa, Mary Halvorson, Brandon Seabrook, John Dikeman, Ingrid Laubrock, James Fei, Michael Moore and Onno Govaert.

-All musicians will perform a piece by Taylor Ho Bynum.

-A new composed piece by Carl Testa will be performed by James Fei, Michael Moore, Tomeika Reid, Mary Oliver, Wilbert de Joode and Carl Testa.
