This month we will be doing a live recording in Zaal 100 with a quartet chosen by Portuguese trumpet monster Luis Vicente. It could be argued that live performance is the ideal environment for recording improvised music. So much of the music draws on the energy of the room and the audience. Come be a part of the process and hear this quartet in action!

Luis came to the Netherlands to spend one week performing at Incubate with the Jasper Stadhouders International Improvisation Ensemble. Both Onno and John were in the ensemble as well and even though, with Luis, they were only 3 of 10 musicians, they developed a strong rapport during the 6 performances. Wilbert de Joode, with his incredible experience as an improviser and combustible bass playing, was an obvious choice to complete the group.

Come join us the last Sunday of every month at Zaal 100 for informal evenings hosted by members of Doek. These nights function as a forum for people to come together, play, listen, discuss and generally have a good time. Entrance is always free.
