Biography
Expressivity, that’s a big thing for Ada Rave, the Argentinean saxophone player based in Amsterdam since 2013. She put together this drumless trio to investigate the fascinating cross section between acoustic and electronic improvised music. It features Nicola Hein (DE) on prepared guitar and Wilbert De Joode (NL) on contrabass and, while the group bears her name, together they create a musical journey improvising in complete communion. This trio explores their own sonic possibilities creating a unique narrative, a musical dialogue that is teeming with fast, telepathic interaction and energetic interplay, never losing nuance and awareness for subtle impulses and sudden changes.
“The Sea, The Storm and The Full Moon” is the name of their first album, which was released by Clean Feed Records in 2018.
