COUNTDOWN TO DOEK FESTIVAL 2016 – DANCE WORKSHOP
Amsterdam – Chicago Dance and Music Improvisation Workshop

This year’s Doek Festival is not only be about improvised music, but has a strong improvised DANCE component!
DOEK ABC FESTIVAL 2016 brings together a dynamic group of artists from Amsterdam and Chicago to collectively conduct a two-day workshop focused on improvisation and instant composition. Everyone interested in a collaborative discourse with sound, movement and light is encouraged to participate. Both dancers and musicians are welcome.
The workshop will take place on Saturday, April 30th from 11am – 4pm and on Sunday, May 1st from 11am – 3pm at Plantage Dok.
A variety of exercises and scores will be shared and practiced, and clearly a wide range of perspectives will be incorporated.
