Our schedule for the Doek Workshops keeps changing. February we have 2/3 of Cactus Truck giving workshops for advanced improvisers.
John Dikeman will be investigating philosophies of listening and form in group improvisation.
Jasper will be focusing on his approach to rhythms, polyrhythms, how to study and implement them in a musical way.

The daylong workshop will comprise two sessions (12 – 14.30 and 15.30 – 18.00) followed by a presentation concert in the evening.…

They are keen to share their knowledge! The first workshop kicks off on 24 October and will be led by Kaja Draksler, who writes: I would like the participants to bring their own compositions and we then work from there on how to develop improvisational and personal language through composition.
