Saturday, July 19 – Wolter Wierbos solo Angels’ Share at Westergasfabriek

Herbert Nouwens SculptureThis Saturday Wolter Wierbos will be performing solo in Westergasfabriek as a part of Angels’ Share, a sculpture exhibition presenting the work of Herbert Nouwens. This exhibition features a different musical performance every Saturday until the final day of the exhibition on August 31.

Wolter Wierbos has toured throughout the world as a soloist. A brilliant improviser known for his spontaneity, these giant, metallic sculptures offer him the perfect point of departure for a voyage into the unknown. As was the case for the previous performances, Wolter will begin in front of the twin sculpture Angels’ Share at 17:00.…

Sculpture and Sound at Westergasfabriek

Herbert Nouwens has an exhibition of 25 of his fantastic and often monumental sculptures in the Westerpark. Doek will be interacting musically with these works from 21 June until 31 august. To open and close the exhibition we’re planning a little something with Available Jelly (21 June) and the Bakfietsband (31 August). At 17:00 every Saturday afternoon in between (28 June – 23 August) a Doek musician will perform solo around the sculptures. Details of who and where to follow………

Doek @ OT – March 12 Lean Left vs Cactus Truck

The first time Cactus Truck played together was almost 4 years ago when they met up at Zaal 100 to “try playing as loud and fast as possible, just to see what happens.” That night, they went to hear Lean Left perform at Occii and realized they had a lot of work to do….
