Boy Edgar Prize award night

On Wednesday December 7, the Buma Boy Edgar Prize 2016 will be awarded to Doek founding member Wilbert de Joode during a festive concert evening in the Bimhuis. Wilbert has curated a very special programme especially for this occasion. There’ll be performances from the long-standing Kaufmann/Gratkowski/De Joode trio and the Ab Baars trio, who will be joined by the young pianist Marta Warelis. Wilbert has invited a number of kindred spirits – Peter van Bergen and Tobias Delius, saxophone and clarinets; Ada Rave, saxophone; and Michael Vatcher and Onno Govaert, drums – who, together with the trio musicians, will perform in all sorts of intriguing line-ups. The concert will close with a piece for all of the musicians together. It promises to be an most extraordinary evening. We hope to see you there!
