The physical discourse of shaping space in real and imagined time.
This quartet started working and performing together in 2017. They met in the Doek Festival that year in workshops and performances with improvised dance and music and found common receptivities and curiosities.
After Subtext’s performance there will be a short panel discussion, moderated by Michael Moore, on, among other things, the relationship between improvised music and dance, space and silence.
