‘Simon Rose will perform solo on baritone saxophone. He will employ an open improvisation
approach. From a primary interest in sound, he draws on an interest in harmonics, multi-phonics, circular breathing and so on together with the varying textural possiblities found within the antique baritone’s different registers.
explorations of degrees of intensity and dynamics is balanced by intervallic and melodic material. The particularity of the space and the occasion will, in part inform decision making and how the music becomes shaped in real time during the event’. – Simon Rose.

Ada and Felicity are both from the southern hemisphere (Argentina and Australia) and have been playing in various ensembles together since 2013. They are improvisers who share a background in (free) jazz but have continued to develop their personal sound and musical interests even after their move to Amsterdam. Their improvisations are outspoken stories through tenor sax, cornet and voice that arise on the spot and are by definition unique.
