One of the most active musicians in the Netherlands, Jasper Stadhouders is not only busy playing guitar and bass but also composing for projects including the PolyBand, Cactus Truck, Spinifex and trio Stadhouders / Govaert / De Joode among many others. He’s also a member of numerous international ensembles such as Ken Vandermark’s Made to Break, and the trio Rempis / Stadhouders / Rosaly. Jasper possesses the kind of connection to his instrument that is rarely seen, but often comes from  practically being born into playing, as Jasper was, starting guitar at the age of 5.…

See you at the Market: Makiko Ito
Makiko Ito has been one of the leading improvisers and choreographers of the Dutch improvised dance scene since she arrived in Amsterdam in 2005. Aside from her exuberant body work she also has the wonderful ability to work with improvising musicians of various backgrounds and truly interact, allowing both mediums to shine without one becoming subservient to the other. She is a long time member of the Magpie Umbrella where she has worked with renowned dancers Katie Duck and Michael Schumacher, who have been some of her greatest creative influences.…

See you at The Market: Ibelisse Guardia Ferragutti
Ibelisse Guardia Ferragutti is a captivating performer capable of electrifying audiences. Born in Bolivia, she grew up in Brazil, studied classical piano, modern and contemporary dance, was part of various music and dance ensembles in both countries, then moved to Amsterdam to follow the Mime School at the Amsterdam University of the Arts, where she now teaches.
Currently, Ibelisse works as a theater maker, visual artist, musician, performance artist and teacher in various collaborations.…

Fourth up in See you at The Market: Eric Boeren
Founding Doek member Eric Boeren is the artist who first suggested creating a large scale work featuring the core Doek members plus guests to create a two day piece involving theater and music. This concept was then honed down into The Market and will include dancers as well as guest singers, musicians and actors. Eric himself is composing two large scale pieces, one involving the Jones family purchasing a rug at the bazaar, and another showing a rural family’s attempts to sell their goods in an urban market environment.…

Third up in See you at The Market: Harald Austbø.
Harald Austbø is known for his creative and original contributions to the theater and music worlds as actor, singer and cellist. He is freakishly talented, equally at home serving the bass role in a jazz group as playing thoroughly notated melodic lines. Quite often, he’ll do both at the same time whilst beatboxing or improvising nonsense rap over top. Something of a highly dependable wild-card, he manages to provide rock solid support to any ensemble he performs with yet remain spontaneous, drawing on a wealth of influences from jazz, classical, rock, pop, samba, hip hop, spoken word, poetry, theater, performance art and improvisation of all sorts.…
